Starlink is a satellite internet constellation provided and operated by the SpaceX organisation. The Starlink system, once installed, provides high-speed, low-latency satellite-based broadband internet. So now you can get high-speed internet no matter how remote your location is. It’s connection is so fast and reliable that you can stream movies, play online video games and, more importantly for those working from home, make video calls with minimal lag or drop-outs. Using advanced satellites in a low orbit, Starlink enables fast streaming, ideal for video calls, online gaming, and other high data rate activities. Starlink Installation - How it works
First you’ll need to order your Starlink kit. Previously this was direct through Starlink. But as an Authorized Starlink Installer you can purchase this direct from us at One Degree West. You will still need to buy your data plan direct though Starlink.
If you order through Starlink you can request us to fit your kit by stipulating this in the comments section of the email you receive requesting pictures of your location and property.
No need to wait
We endeavour to keep Starlink kits in stock at all times so if you order through us we’ll have everything that’s needed when we turn up to install your system.
What’s more, you will then have a dedicated point of contact for anything to do with your Starlink Hardware should anything go wrong. Many of our customers find this a huge benefit as it is often difficult to get through to a Starlink representative during busy periods.

We can also install additional hardware to extend your Starlink coverage to other parts of your property by setting up additional networks. Our engineers won’t leave until you are fully setup and your Starlink connection is up and running.

How much does the Starlink Kit cost?
The price varies as Starlink changes their offer all the time. Depending on the area you live in you can get the hardware for free (this does not include any mounts or accessories), although some high demand areas still need to pay. If you’re purchasing it for business use, the cost is currently £299 for a standard kit. But if you choose their premium data package a Performance Kit will be needed which cost £1,999 (correct as of May 2026). It will be sent with everything that’s needed to get online (router, cables etc…) so once you’ve received it we can proceed with the installation process. PLEASE NOTE – The monthly fee varies depending on what package you choose, and this is paid directly to Starlink to get online.
In some areas there can also be a one off Demand Surcharge to pay. Most of the South East of England has exceptionally high demand so please be aware that an extra charge of £195 may have to be paid to Starlink.
If you order your kit through Starlink direct there can be up to a £48 delivery charge. But if you order it through us you won’t have to pay this, we’ll deliver it for free! Current waiting times from Starlink are 2 to 4 weeks or residential hardware and 6 to 8 weeks for the Performance Kit. Or if you purchase from us, we always try to keep kits in stock (although there may be a delay for Performance Kits due to supply issues at the moment!)
Unlimited data with no contracts
The great thing about Starlink is you’re not tied into a contract. Be aware, they reserve the right to adjust pricing and terms whenever they like, but most broadband companies do this anyway. And more importantly, you can cancel at any time, for any reason!
Positioning is vital
In order to operate effectively the Starlink Dish needs to have a clear ‘line of sight’ to the sky. There’s a Starlink App that can help in terms of positioning but as satellite and aerial installers with 20 years of experience we’ll ensure it’s in the right location for the best results!
Starlink operates at it’s best when the dish is installed above roof height. It also needs to be installed so the dish is fully secure. This ensures a reliable internet service operation.
Our experienced installers will install your Starlink Dish so it gives the clearest signal and is free from obstruction by trees or buildings. We offer a number of different methods of mounting the dish to ensure the best results. Every install starts with an inspection of the property to ensure we reach the best mounting solution for you.

When having any sort of aerial or satellite dish installed there is nothing worse than seeing lots of cables everywhere. Our Starlink installations ensure that all cabling is as unobtrusive as possible. We’ll carefully install all cabling, hiding it where possible, and clip and secure it properly to leave a professional finish.
We ensure you're online and up and running
All our engineers are experienced at wireless network installation so we’ll ensure you’re all set up. We’ll fully connect your new system to your existing network, mesh network or install a suitable network for you.

This would be ideal for infrequent or individual journeys where you need to be connected to high speed internet. Or for those going on more frequent trips or longer duration journeys you can choose the Roam Unlimited data package. So tour Europe or America whilst staying connected. And whilst a dedicated dish can be mounted, you can also use Starlink Mini, a robust bit of kit that’s portable and easy to store.
Starlink Maritime is designed for boats, yachts and larger sea going vessels and is permanently installed. It’s specifically designed for the harsh maritime environment and delivers fast speeds and priority network access, meaning your data is prioritised when moored or at sea. Data plans start at around £200 per month (contact us for current prices).
We cover all marinas across the South of England, from Weymouth to Gosport and everywhere in between. We can even install your Starlink for Boats for customers with vessels in Portishead Marina near Bristol. For Motorhomes and RVs, we’ll come to your location.
